"There is definitely space in the music world for this group.” - The Alternative Fix
With radio play on BBC Introducing and Radio X, Taxi with Strangers are a four piece hailing from Lancaster in the North West of England.
Influenced by classic bands such as The Smiths and The Stone Roses, as well as newer artists like The Night Café and Sports Team, the TWS sound was honed. With booming drums, melodic basslines, catchy guitar riffs and experimenting with different instruments, the boys are confident in the sounds they are making.
The lineup for TWS has changed over time however, the current members include, David Morton-Jones (vocals/bass), Jake Bellamy (guitar), Toby Weatherill (drums) and Niall Graham (guitar).
Between their day jobs, the lads are always rehearsing, recording and writing. All members have their own unique input on the band whether it’s music, lyrics or aesthetic - everyone has their part to play.
Although lockdown has had an affect on gigs throughout 2020, the future’s looking bright with lots of music planned for 2021 including their latest single ‘Pictures’.
Plus, signing up to MLR management in January has truly been a blessing with the fanbase slowly but surely growing.
