The smell of half-smoked cigarettes and stale beer cans rises from an empty greenhouse in the Hamburg countryside. From muffled mobile phone speakers, Australian indie charts alternate with long-forgotten rock and hip hop classics. The lovingly named 'Tea House', a former cultivation for tulips and daffodils, is the breeding ground for five friends and their fun with music. This dusty shambles eventually becomes the name of the band, founded in 2018. In their self-built studio between ditches and dykes, indie, funk and reggae merge together without any genre restraints. Soft ballads, tight grooves or fuzzy guitars, it’s all there. A lack of money and know-how paired with good vibes and attitudes provide the basis for a refreshing and varied sound.
