TEAM152

From South Korea and New Zealand, the musicians of TEAM152 utilise their unique sensibilities and skills from diverse backgrounds to write music that reflect who they are. Their music tends to a lighter-toned, indie-pop style, with some occasional rock and R&B vibes thrown into the mix.

Having met at a film music course in Seoul, the members of TEAM152 became fast friends after spending nearly every day together in the computer lab (with no windows!), slaving away at their assignments. Their camaraderie naturally evolved into a collaborative effort of music-making, as they each had vastly different strengths and abilities in the process, which ended up complementing each other really well. They started experimenting with songwriting soon after, as all musicians do, and they now have 8 singles plus an EP, with songs in both Korean and English under their belt.

Their influences include 20th century art music, Korean classics (Lena Park, Toy, Jaurim etc.), contemporary Korean icons (IU, Kirin, Black Skirts etc.), and western artists ranging from Lana Del Rey to Bon Iver.
