Technocritic

Technocritic is the Vancouver indietronica project of long-time collaborators Chris Deas and TChop (Trent Shumay). Equal parts guitar rock, electronica, and a hip-hop undercurrent, their sound is built in real time at the studio console—two producers writing, tracking, and shaping ideas as they happen. The duo treats the DAW like a blank canvas, layering analog instruments with digital signal chains to craft songs that feel textured and intricate. It’s guitar grit over synth glow, human hands steering machine precision—genre lines blurred on purpose.
