Ted Waters is a soul-soothing, heartwarming singer-songwriter whose vibrant land-based life inspires fire-fueled folk, sharing stories of love, acceptance, and the complex beauty of our modern world from a deeply grounded perspective. A classically trained multi-instrumentalist and Natural Voice practitioner, she blends her classical roots with contemporary folk to create warm vocals and intricate instrumentation. From her late teens, Ted’s life has danced between music, agroecology, and environmental activism. Touring under her real name, Susanna Waters, she captivated festival audiences for over two decades at events including The Secret Garden Party & Sunrise Festival. After the birth of her children, her focus shifted to raising conscious boys, homeschooling, & starting an organic farm, while continuing to write, record, perform, host seasonal local celebrations, and produce music for the theatre.

Known to friends as Ted, a name she embraces as her artist name, she channels her life adventures into every song and performance. Whether sharing her contemporary folk songs or reimagining traditional pieces, Ted’s work can be a joyful or emotionally raw experience, deeply rooted in her journey through creativity, motherhood, and her connection with the land. She has collaborated with several artists, including Charlie Roscoe on the acclaimed album Kindred Spirits.
