Teddy Rogers aims to change the game through his psychedelic blend of hip-hop, blues, and rock & roll. The Jackson, Mississippi based artist balances exuberant bangers and melodic slow-burners to always provide the perfect atmosphere for any situation.
Rogers has a series of projects coming this year, expanding his discography and showcasing his artistic range. With an influx of music, he is looking forward to having new material to perform live at future shows.
Rogers finds inspiration mostly in contemporary artists, spanning meticulous lyricists like Kendrick Lamar and Joey Badass, genre-bending rockstars like Paris Texas and Kenny Mason, and alternative innovators like Dominic Fike and Mac Miller.
Locally, he finds influence in collaborators like Fluseph, JusLegacy, and Gios4ma, each of which are standouts in the MS hip-hop community. Rogers also finds inspiration in his Vulture WRLD collective alongside Seer, Hollywood Killakam, A$hwood, Kilo, Prophett, & Powe. The collective’s name combines two important concepts around humanity’s relationship with death. Vultures represent the life that comes from death while “WRLD” is a tribute to the late Juice WRLD and an acronym for “War Ready, Living to Die.”
When he’s not singing or rapping, Teddy Rogers plays guitar, books events, creative directs, and curates fashion. As a multi-talented artist, his career ascension is one you won’t want to miss. You can follow him on all social media platforms @slimerogers to keep up.
