A uniquely hard-hitting mix of rock, soul, and funk, Tee Cad's music inspires productive conversations from independent thinkers seeking positive change.
"At 14, I was the only white kid in a black band, navigating grooves and life lessons in Houston's Third Ward. By 22, I was touring with future stars and signed to a major label. But the music industry burned me out, so I walked away to become something nobody expected—an undercover operative.
"Tee Cad" was my alias infiltrating the Crips for the FBI. That name carried me through two years of the most harrowing experiences of my life. Now, in my 50s, I'm reclaiming it.
My music today isn't about fame—it's about purpose. Every song comes from real experience: the streets, the studio, the old badge, the book I authored. I collaborate with incredible artists like Jon Button, Myles Jasnowski, and Loida Liuzzi, creating music that inspires without preaching a political agenda.
I also seek to collaborate with talented, underserved youth, providing them with real recording experiences and demonstrating that talent combined with courage can change everything.
This is music born from a life nobody could script. Dig in and feel free to reach out and share your thoughts."
