Teemu Sytelä is an artist: Actor, musician, voiceover actor, musical AND drag- artist, originally from a little town called Alavus, Finland. Now he is living in Tampere, Finland, and working professionally as a freelancer actor in musicals. He is also a co-founder and an artist of Sytelä Productions Oy.
Teemu has composed and mainly written the songs in brand new finnish musicals: Jääkärin tie (Soldier’s road 2015-2017), single Kultainen momentti (2016), <a href="spotify:album:03ZJFygQBWyDnvU4Ek1ZSC" data-name="Pieni Balleriina">Pieni Balleriina</a> (The Little Ballerina 2018 —>) and <a href="spotify:album:5CQVy6Ns0Bzo7vPmp9zsLV" data-name="Taireteos">Taireteos</a> (Songs lyrics are poems of Enni Yli-Hynnilä; Work of art 2020 —>).
Teemu applied to Tampere University of Applied Sciences to study musical theater in 2013, and graduated as a musician and professional musical theater actor in 2018. During his studies in Tampere, Teemu worked in many musicals; i.e. Some like it hot (Tampere Theater 2015-16), and Spring Awakening (Tampereen Työväen Teatteri 2017).
After graduation, Teemu has worked in the biggest theaters and musicals in Finland; Billy Elliot (2018-2019) in Tampereen Työväen Teatteri, and as a guest actor in Helsinki City Theater musicals since 2019’s The Little Mermaid.
In 2023, Teemu works on Helsinki City Theater’s musical The Little Mermaid (fall -23), he is also touring with two drag-musicals; The Little Ballerina and Becoming Icons (2020 —->), as well as with his monologue Taireteos. Teemu is also working on some new music, to be released in 2023.
