Named for a phrase from a '60s ad in Playboy magazine, melodically sweet, experimental electro-pop band Teen Men began as a one-off public-access TV audio/video project in Wilmington, Delaware. Singer/guitarist Nick Krill and guitarist Joey Hobson of indie dance-rockers the Spinto Band, with visual artists Albert Birney and Catharine Maloney (both on keyboards), eventually gathered enough material from subsequent sessions to follow up on the project, which involved music inspiring the video artists and vice versa. The quartet recorded their debut album at the Garden Center and Paperlab Recording with Krill engineering, mixing and producing. Amid a tour in support of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, the self-titled LP was released in mid-2015 by Bar/None Records. ~ Marcy Donelson, Rovi
