Dwight Rivera is a Los Angeles based pianist, composer, and musical director.
Originally from New York City, he’s a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a dual
Bachelor’s Degree in Film Scoring and Contemporary Writing/Production.
Dwight attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, where he joined the school’s
New Music Ensemble, a composition collective known as one of the foremost popular
music composition seminars in the country. While there he developed a passion for
working with and supporting singers. He was also encouraged by teacher Robert Apostle
to start composing solo piano music.
Since moving to Los Angeles, Dwight has kept up a busy career as a keyboardist,
session player, accompanist, and Musical Director. He has played and worked with
musicians, singers, and actors such as Joss Stone, Linda Perry, Colin Hay (Men at Work),
Sheryl Lee Ralph, Elliot Yamin, Pia Toscano, Tito Puente Jr, world music superstar
Khaled, and many others. He has toured as a keyboardist across the country and
internationally.
In recent years Dwight has added a focus on solo piano and instrumental music.
His compositions are enjoyed by millions across the globe daily.
Dwight’s piano music focuses on beautiful, elegant melodies accompanied by
intimate, peaceful ostinatos that convey a sense of tranquility and nostalgia for anyone
who listens.
