***Telestar*** is an Italian band formed in 2012, known for blending pop-folk sounds with introspective lyrics. Their self-titled debut album, Telestar (2012), drew attention with the single “Il profumo è sempre il solito,” which entered heavy rotation on MTV. In 2014, Così vicini così lontani further shaped their musical identity. Their 2020 album Purosangue, produced by Matteo Cantaluppi, revealed a more mature artistic vision, featuring refined sounds and existential themes.
The band’s visibility grew through key live shows, including opening for Canova. During the 2020 lockdown, they contributed to Madonne, the debut film by Maurizio Lombardi. In 2021, their single “Non vuoi rinascere” was included in ‘Marcello’, a film that won the Rai Cinema Award at the Rome Film Festival and the prestigius award CORTI d’ARGENTO in 2025 written by Lombardi.
The band is actually in studio working on his fourth official album.
