Teller

Last updated: 3 days ago

The idea of Teller came when Emanuel, Torbjörn and Erik needed an excuse to hang out in Gothenburg, Sweden when life decided their paths no longer so easily took the same turns. They soon realized the music they were creating was too inspiring not to do anything serious about it. Gustav and Richard joined the band and the Teller sound came alive.

The members of Teller have played in other bands such as ef, The Shiloh and The Gentle Act Incident. All together they contribute to the music and the process of making the songs. The music was never to be forced by the members but given the freedom and time it needed to be shaped into the final result. The members believes in a democratic and open environment and the core of the musical creations is the strong friendship.

In 2013 the first sign of what was going on in the Teller camp was shown to the world when they released the EP The Close OF Day.

After 2013 Teller began the making of the album Strive Recess Echo. Many of the ideas of the song were up to 10 years old, embryos that hadn’t been given the right conditions until then. The songs of the record slowly came alive, sometimes only to be discarded and rebuild again. Teller took help from friends and local musicians to create the sound they were looking for.

In November 2017, the album was released! Teller felt they were ready to make an serious entrance to the post rock scene in Sweden, Europe or even the world. Teller are very excited about what lays ahead!
