Tempest Calm is an indie rock band from Perth, Western Australia.
Brothers Callum and Kieran Burne teamed up with Matt McCubbin in 2016 and wrote their then self titled EP named PACIFIC.
The release of the band’s lead single ‘Edge of Nowhere’ thrust them from the shadows of their garage rehearsal space aptly called ‘The Den’ and into the hearts & ears of thousands of people all over the world.
‘Edge of Nowhere’ was featured on Spotify playlists including New Music Buzz, Fresh Finds & New Music Friday AU & NZ.
The indie pop hit also featured on Australia's Television ‘Network 7’ during the AFL broadcast and in publications including themusic and Tonedeaf.
Following the release of ‘Edge of Nowhere’, the trio released music videos for their pop anthems ‘Wide Eyes’ and 'Wild Mind'. As their horizons expanded, their live audiences followed suit and in 2017 the band ventured on their first international tour to Asia.
Following a lengthy hiatus Tempest Calm announced their return in 2022, releasing the first single from their forthcoming album ‘Shadowlands’. The album is currently being released in track listing order.
The band started 2023 on a high supporting Grammy nominated Switchfoot in Perth on their 'Greatest Hits' AUS Tour.
