Fronted by powerhouse vocalist/guitarist and Minneapolis native Vonnie Kyle, Ten Ten Division was formed in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2017. After releasing her first two EPs, "Run Run" and "Cold and Bitter Girl" as a solo artist in her native state, Kyle relocated her life to the drier climates of Santa Fe, where she found a home amongst a flourishing community of artists and musicians. She spent her first year in her newfound home writing 52 new songs; one for every week of 2017. To keep her sound fresh and innovative, she drew inspiration from a wide array of influences, including St. Vincent, Rilo Kiley, Ani DiFranco, No Doubt, Liz Phair, as well as the many local bands she would come across in Santa Fe. After teaming up with bandmates Dylan Blanchard (of Future Scars as well as his own solo project) and Dan Mench-Thurlow (of The Sticky, Benzo III and Snaggletooth), Kyle pulled from her favorites of this newly-created catalogue of tunes, which propelled her growth as a musician and songwriter, and found Ten Ten Division’s unique formula, combining her narrative lyrical style with distorted guitars, loud and gritty melodic vocals, and an upbeat energy derived of good old-fashioned pop rock.
