Tendai Sitima blends his African heritage with classical jazz vocal training and contemporary
soul, funk, and R&B influences to create a smooth and melodic sound. His debut single,
‘Chapped Lip (Kinda Beauty)’, is a smoky, sultry, and soulful slice of R&B, and is taken from the soundtrack to Netflix/RTS’s new series ‘The Winter Palace’.
Alongside his flagship solo artistic endeavours, Sitima is also known for his arrangement work on the score for PlayStation’s ‘Sackboy: A Big Adventure’ (part of the Little Big Planet franchise) and for compositional, production, arrangement, and performance work on the score for the West End and Broadway productions of ‘The Immersive Great Gatsby’. The show is the longest-running immersive show in West End history and has transferred to New York’s Broadway, Belgium, Sweden, South Korea, and Ireland (where it marked Paul Mescal’s first professional role) and been featured as part of West End Live in Trafalgar Square, London.
He has also built an extensive sync repertoire across numerous multi-million-pound commercial media productions, including Glamour Magazine’s Nicole Scherzinger campaign, Very’s viral TikTok campaign (over 2 billion views), and a Visit Jamaica commercial starring Stephen Marley, as well as further work for Calvin Klein, Adidas, Nike, McLaren, and a host of other big-name brands.
