Intersecting the genres of pop, alternative, and r&b, Tero is a gay, independent artist who's not afraid to reveal the depths of his artistry. Hailing from Providence, Rhode Island, Tero started making music at the age of 17 and posting demos on Tumblr, where he would later garner widespread attention from the queer community online. In 2012, he was sought out by the popular media production company CockyBoys to record the official theme song for their breakout hit reality television feature film, "Project GoGo Boy." The song, entitled "Cocky Boys," amassed more than 120,000 streams across platforms. Tero later released his debut EP, Closet Space, a sultry r&b-inspired project about the ups and downs of early love. Its popular lead single "Daddy" has earned nearly 20,000 streams to date and became an anthem for older gay men. The following year in 2020, he was asked to perform as a representative act for the Boston/Providence scene at the biggest international LGBTQIA+ event, WorldPride, where he received global exposure. In 2021, he released his debut full-length album, Monogamy, a heartbreaking narrative-driven album inspired by the growing distance between lovers and the grief of walking away from romance. Tero has found himself inspired by a variety of artists across the decades; from the 70's and 80's Luther Vandross, Roberta Flack, and Teddy Pendergrass to the 90's and 00's Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, and Brandy.
