Terra Impressionum is the avantgarde metal band founded in 2005 in a small seaside town of Novofedorivka (Crimea, Ukraine). The band experiments with different metal subgenres mixing them with art rock, blues and jazz parts.
Debut full-length album "TI:tanium" was recorded in home studio and self-released in February 1, 2008, in original line-up: Oleg Shuvalov (guitars, vocals), Artyom Mironov (drums), Alexandr Guy (keyboards), Alexandr Malinovskyi (bass).
In the end of 2008 Artyom Mironov (drums) has left the band, and the second album "Transmitting Device" was recorded and released in December 16, 2010, in updated line-up: Oleg Shuvalov (guitars, vocals), Vladimir Grishchenko (drums), Alexandr Guy (keyboards), Alexandr Malinovskyi (bass), including session musicians: Oleg Pilipchuk (saxophone), Tatiana Knyazhitskaya (violin), Olga Nikitinskaya (female vocals).
In the beginning of 2011 Vladimir Grishchenko (drums) has left the band, and the works on the band's third album left unfinished.
At the moment, Terra Impressionum has suspended its activity.
