Terrafirma is Michael "Mick" Trivane.
Mick first began singing as a 6th grader in Maine-Endwell New York's school chorus back in 1982.
The 1st song he sang publicly was "The Rainbow Connection" from the 1979 film "The Muppet Movie."
He began playing drums and singing with his brother Chris' rock band NAM (North American Metal) in 1984 and gave up drumming to become the lead singer. They performed at the High school talent show in 1984 with songs from Judas Priest, Bon Jovi and Y&T.
He soon moved to Maryland with his family and formed "TERRAFIRMA" in 1986.
The band recorded many originals and frequently performed live at various rock clubs throughout Maryland. Their music was featured on 98 Rock (97.9 FM WIYY).
Mick attended college at The Art Institute where he studied and received a degree in Music and Video Business.
Mick later graduated from MTSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Recording Industry Management with an emphasis on Production & Technology.
Mick has been composing, recording and producing hundreds of original songs for 3 decades.
His music is a celebration of the popular musical styles from the 70s and 80s ranging from Disco to Metal from Synthwave to Lo-Fi from Yacht Rock to Halloween.
His songs evoke a strong sense of nostalgia and authentic soul.
Terrafirma generally releases a couple singles every month.
