Hey! I’m Thaarmin, a 20 year-old singer-songwriter from Singapore ⭐️ 🤎
From a young age, music has always been a source of comfort and catharsis to me. The fact that a song can unite a group of strangers, inspire change and build community has always spurred me on to write songs that encapsulate the lived experience of a tamil boy in Singapore. I first fell in love with music at the age of 7, attending keyboard lessons and stealing my brother’s iPod to listen to <a href="spotify:artist:4gzpq5DPGxSnKTe4SA8HAU" data-name="Coldplay">Coldplay</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2h93pZq0e7k5yf4dywlkpM" data-name="Frank Ocean">Frank Ocean</a>, amongst other artists. My sound is an amalgamation of a few genres - the candid storytelling of an alternative band, vocal layering and melismatic singing of an 80s diva and the intricate production of an alt-R&B artist.
