Coming up in the Pretoria creative scene, South African singer-songwriter Thabiso Thabethe carved an artistic career path all on his own. Born and raised in the township of Winterveldt in the northern region of Pretoria, GP, Thabiso's affinity to the arts had always been evident. Establishing his roots in fine arts as a painter, he then began his career in music as a rapper in 2008, producing his own beats before taking up guitar four years later and writing his own original compositions.
Following a few independently released projects covering a multitude of genres, and an extensive series of live performances across South Africa as well as a few shows in Lesotho and Mozambique, he was finally ready to put together and release African Alien, a project he felt would suffice as an expression of what he has amassed thus far in his musical journey.
Tenacious and unwavering in his creativity, what the future holds for Thabiso has yet to be defined
