Born and raised Cuban baby. Miami-based at the moment. No one in my family really took music seriously until my dad found an interest in playing guitar and piano. I remember being 5 years old sitting at the piano playing whatever my hands felt like sounded right. My grandma would ask me: “Who taught you that?” Which no one really did. Music has been part of me for as long as I can remember. I fell in love with the way the piano and the guitar made me feel. Soon after, I started viewing my voice as another instrument. An instrument that not even my father believed in at the time. Time and time again I was faced with disapproval and lack of hope for my abilities. However, I never cared. Singing and writing songs was not something I did for others’ approval. I did it because it felt right, it felt like the most fulfilling thing in the world. I kept my music a secret for very long. I slowly started recording covers and showing only my close friends. Despite being encouraged for more, I was terrified. Who isn’t terrified to be judged on something you love so dearly? Soon after I decided to post my covers on my Instagram and Tiktok. This gave me more reassurance since people actually seemed to like my music! Giving credit, where credit is due, my friend Tony was actually the person who pushed me to audition for a talent show at school. Very funny how I almost threw up of how nervous I was. However, it was one of the most liberating experiences of my life. Now I put out music :).
