Thavoron

Hailing from Seattle, Thavoron continues to take the scene by a storm by writing, singing and producing her own music. Born in 2000 in Everett, Washington to Cambodian immigrant parents, Thavoron spent her young years singing in her school choirs, and taught herself how to play the bass and guitar. Thavoron originally started her artist project in 2018 under the moniker Sokeang (the combination of her mother’s and father’s last names). She then released her debut EP <a href="spotify:album:4doiQ3FxY3Uib47IQb6P1G" data-name="Bold">Bold</a> (2020) under her first name Thavoron, and promptly left the University of Washington during late 2021 to fully pursue her burgeoning music career. Thavoron&#39;s artist project started gaining momentum after the release of her critically acclaimed debut album <a href="spotify:album:5K3el8358mVeIPj8fkLGwe" data-name="Ugly">Ugly</a> (2021), having been featured on Before the Data, Rice &amp; Spice Magazine, and Buzz Music LA. This caught the eye of Trailing Twelve Records, who Thavoron would eventually sign to in 2021.

With praise from METAL Magazine, Ladygunn, The Luna Collective, Grimy Goods, Ones To Watch, and KEXP, Thavoron shows no sign of stopping anytime soon to create liberation and space for hers, and others&#39; intersectional identities to shine through and exist on their own accord through art.
