The 046 Collective grew up in the public housing suburb of Claymore in South West Sydney, Australia. A community that built their brotherhood, resilience & spirit. Brothers Kymza & Ronza, along with their childhood best mate Jizza, are all of Samoan descent, with Jizza also carrying First Nations heritage descending from the Wiradjuri peoples. Growing up they connected deeply with Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Kurupt, Tupac & Warren G. Artists whose stories reflected the environment they saw around them and those influences have shaped the style they’re known for.
Credited with pioneering “Aus Funk”, a homegrown fusion of funk, R&B & Australian street rap, The 046 built their movement from nothing, fully independent under their own label, 046 Records. Their singles & albums have debuted on the ARIA Charts, reached #1 in New Zealand, & have generated hundreds of millions of streams, with viral music videos that continue to resonate across Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific & beyond.
