The 4411 is an Austin, Texas–based indie folk band formed by lifelong friends Tomas Gerlach (drums) and Cogan McBride (vocals). What began as a shared love of music growing up quickly turned into writing songs together and releasing their first single, “Moment That You Knew,” in 2021.
The band gained momentum with “Candy Heart,” landing on a Spotify editorial playlist and reaching new listeners. While living together in college, the duo released “As You Please” and expanded into a four-piece with guitarist Alan Holmquist and bassist Nick Speer. Their debut EP, We Killed the Sun, arrived in June 2024 and launched their first tour, ending in a sold-out headlining show.
Since then, The 4411 has toured nationally, selling over 4,000 tickets and playing nine sold-out shows across the U.S. After supporting The Oh Hellos across Texas and closing the year with a sold-out night at Austin’s Stubb’s, the band released “Her” in November, kicking off a new era heading into 2026.
