The 72 Club

The 27 Club is a group of musicians who all died at the age 27. Every year Lifeline saves thousands of lives through listening. So now, we’re taking songs made famous by 27 Club members and using them to make a club of our own. The 72 Club.

The 72 Club’s first song, Janis Joplin’s ‘Piece of My Heart’ has been arranged by Cam Ballantyne and performed by a group of well-known older New Zealand singers and musicians including Suzanne Lynch and Larry Morris. But The 72 Club doesn’t just stop with them. It’s a club that anyone can join. By doing so, you’re saying that you plan on living a long and happy life and you want to help other Kiwis to do the same.
