The Afternoon Sessions

The Afternoon Sessions are hot on the Indie Rock scene, delivering energetic anthems that sit perfectly against any sun-drenched festival stage, or dimly lit packed underground venue.


Meeting at college whilst studying music in their hometown of Carlisle, the band formed late 2020 for a live project and rapidly developed an unignorable chemistry with one another. This immediately became a passion project for the group and the decision to pursue it was an obvious choice. They thrive in their undeniable individuality but are linked by their compelling dynamic on and off the stage, taking eclectic influences from fashion, music, and attitudes, which all reflect through their unique sound.


The four piece is made up of Haz King, Evan Morgan, James Henderson and Christian Morley, who’s joint love of music albeit varied, couldn’t beat the collective buzz when the group would lose themselves writing their own material.


The group recently carted their equipment, and a camera crew, into the centre of town to perform a live busking set which is on their Youtube channel. As well as having their debut single played 4 times on BBC Introducing before its release.


The band are currently working on releasing their highly anticipated debut single ‘Fun In The Sun’ on the 23rd of April ahead of their upcoming EP. Alongside eagerly rehearsing to get match-fit for when they can sink their teeth into the post Covid world, including their set on the bill at Solfest 2021.
