The Anaton Project

Probably, the most interesting thing about The Anaton Project is the odd blending of different musical influences within the band. From the mind of founding member and Neo-prog enthusiast, Johnny Normann Berg (Guitars, Vocals), rockabilly-drummer Jimmy Dapper, (<a href="spotify:artist:2e5KpBJN9v7rw2iHccULZE" data-name="The Lucky Bullets">The Lucky Bullets</a>), multiartist and analouge synth modulator, Carl Fredrik Berg (<a href="spotify:artist:3KvxLWAkED6uS91DTmtbqT" data-name="The Multiverse Ensemble">The Multiverse Ensemble</a>) and Neon-metal bass-player Magnus Charles Døssland Bjørnstad (<a href="spotify:artist:7Dq2a3rJgMkNpysD85Obm3" data-name="Tempelheks">Tempelheks</a>). There is something truly liberating and wonderful about a convergense of different talents, ideas, and creators. Their debut EP <a href="spotify:album:144TtEwH7AwYYhp6Ydivd3" data-name="Luck">Luck</a> was released in late 2024 and marks a promising start for the band.

In July 2025, a treasure of forgotten demo tapes from 1996–1999 was rediscovered. These raw, early recordings — capturing Johnny Normann Berg (Guitars &amp; Lead Vocals) and various bandmates in their formative years — are now brought together in the retrospective album Almost Home (The 1996–1999 Demotapes). The collection offers a rare glimpse into a period of wide-open musical exploration, where genre boundaries blurred and youthful ambition took the lead.
