The Apurna Project is an independent rock band from Charleston, West Virginia that writes songs deriving from multiple influences, such as emo, pop-punk, folk-punk, grunge, and even some metal!
Originally created around December 2018 by founder Nick McGrew on guitar/vocals, remaining mostly solo for 4 years with the exception of high school friend Mike Tremblay on guitar for a demo. Nick then ended up finding keyboardist/vocalist Allison Saunders and drummer/vocalist Justin Scalia around December of 2022. Mike Tremblay briefly returned on bass in 2023 for a couple shows before departing, and we’ve been a trio since.
