Starting out as a duo, the Arbor's original goal was to make Acoustic Pop. Vocalist Lindsey Ulloa and guitarist Bret Cowan formed the group in late 2017 and eventually included Jake Jones on the drums, and bassist Riley Halvorson. With two additional members and a new prog rock flair, The Arbor used its members' eclectic tastes to form a sound with varying influences, including Intervals and State Champs, and more Pop-oriented acts such as Ariana Grande or the 1975. With the departure of Lindsey in 2020, the band has since been renamed to Sunwell and still strives to push musical boundaries ever further.
