The Barroom Billies

We are The Barroom Billies. In the beginning we all thought we were making a honky tonk band. After awkwardly getting to know one another over copious amounts of booze, we realized there was some punk, some old country and some rock bursting through the cracks of our songs. What the hell, sounds good, lets keep it. Those undertones came from our roots. The music some of us grew up with, the music some of had made, and the music we wanted to be making. Guess you could say that’s where the genre of roots music came from (in our minds anyways): A bunch of old punk rockers who refuse to go full country, but can’t help being drawn to bluegrass.
