The Belfry Luna is a musical outlet for American producer and singer-songwriter Trevor Tappe.
The name “The Belfry Luna” is a portmanteau of the term “bats in the belfry” (an expression used to describe someone who has lost their grip on reality) and an area found in the video game Dark Souls 2.
In the game you play as a cursed wanderer who embarks on a pilgrimage through a ruined world, attempting to concur and overcome the various obstacles set before them without ever really knowing or understanding why. The wanderer is cursed to live forever, yet their memories fade and they wither away into meaninglessness they become... bats in the belfry.
