The Beneficial Society is an emo/screamo/art punk/alternative rock band from Hangzhou, China. They specialize in blisteringly fast rock performances that make venue air conditioners useless and leave stages in utter disarray. Since forming in late 2024, this band with an average age of 19 has released a critically acclaimed self-titled album, which listeners jokingly describe as “blowing away all the emo bands this year like an atomic bomb.” Simultaneously, they have embarked on a tour across China and Japan, carrying the sound of local emotional rock throughout Asia.
