In the crowded music scene of Los Angeles, The Blessings have found a voice that doesn’t ask you to pay attention; it demands it!
Since staggering onto the world stage with their 2006 debut “Bare Bones”, The Blessings have been on a mission to return the “roll” so desperately missing from today’s “rock” music. Subsequent releases like 2011’s “Tomahawk Inn” and the 2015 EP “Shipwrecked”, as well as their highly anticipated follow-up 12-song album “Woke Up With the Noonday Devil” show that this band is comfortable drawing from many wells; from country and blues to soul and r&b, but always sound like a damn good rock n’ roll band.
The Blessings sound is both refreshing and timeless. They combine the lyrical prowess of Everyman poets like Chuck Berry and Hank Williams with the vibrant spirit of rebellion that has made rock n’ roll the language of misfits everywhere, making for a band with which anyone can identify. They have spent countless hours on stage earning their audience with sweat and tears, and their recorded output show that as they evolve and mature musically, The Blessings are never at risk of losing the “roll” that separates them from their “rock” music peers.
