The Blet Project is a solo and collaborative project from keyboardist and producer Stephen Dennis, who currently lives in Scotland. Stephen studied in Edinburgh and played with the groups Collar Up and The Duke Detroit, before creating original music. His first release Now Live (2016), was a self-produced autobiographical album featuring vocalist Maisie Hutt and guitarist Gavin McDiarmid, it was described as “incredibly poignant writing” with the band heralded as “one of the country’s most unparalleled electronic acts”. After their debut release, Stephen began to study production and mixing whilst composing his second album I AM, which explores themes of lost love and his temporary return to Christianity. The album was completed in 2018 and inspired Stephen to travel to Berlin in summer 2019 to study electronic music production at DBs institute. I AM was recorded in 2020 during Scotland first lockdown in Stephens bedroom and mixed in early 2021. It was in Berlin that Stephen met Paola Pierce, and the two began making music under the name Luckbelectric, with their debut EP in the final stages of production.
