The Blow Up's

Inspired by 1960’s and 1970’s underground and pop culture scene, The Blow Up’s is a rock’n’roll power trio from the northwest of Spain formed by Javi Pardo (drums, backing vocals), Dani Gallego (guitar, lead and backing vocals), and Carmela Warhol (bass guitar, lead and backing vocals). The members came together in the summer of 2023 during rehearsals for their music academy’s end-of-year party. A special chemistry developed between them, not only in terms of friendship, but also as a musical project, powered by a shared all-time passion for rock 'n' roll.

Their journey as a band began when they gathered in the rehearsal room to perform a cover of &#34;<a href="spotify:track:2Uh2A9MBeWRHUWf19jereb" data-name="Encerrados">Encerrados</a> &#34;, a song by <a href="spotify:artist:4LOAqlhrzCYnIYDFWCJQDr" data-name="The Bo Derek&#39;s">The Bo Derek&#39;s</a> , a local band they greatly admire.

The band’s name pays tribute to Michelangelo Antonioni’s 1966 film “Blow-Up”, which aligns with the rising of underground garage music and has influenced most of the band’s aesthetic inspiration. Their sound draws from a wide variety of rock &#39;n&#39; roll influences, spanning international artists like <a href="spotify:artist:7siPLyFwRFYQkKgWKJ5Sod" data-name="The Dandy Warhols">The Dandy Warhols</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:25IRTisJjqI6JlkyCVMBsV" data-name="Dr. Feelgood">Dr. Feelgood</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:1tpXaFf2F55E7kVJON4j4G" data-name="Black Rebel Motorcycle Club">Black Rebel Motorcycle Club</a> , and <a href="spotify:artist:12VaqyEhgwDRuFfEqbnrpz" data-name="PJ Harvey">PJ Harvey</a> , to rockers from the Spanish scene, as <a href="spotify:artist:0ep7WDZsYAGAQPnpwe7dWt" data-name="Los DelTonos">Los DelTonos</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:5koYtLebycwvJpLM0Gjthi" data-name="Zålomon Grass">Zålomon Grass</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:4LOAqlhrzCYnIYDFWCJQDr" data-name="The Bo Derek&#39;s">The Bo Derek&#39;s</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:74gz5JP3mfqLeMBeCwYf9S" data-name="The Soul Jacket">The Soul Jacket</a> .
