The Body was formed by Juha Junttu in the middle of 1990’s. The original lineup consisted of Junttu (gt, vox), Juppo Paavola (dr) and Mikko Kostiainen (bass).

The true sound of The Body was found in 1996 when guitar wizard Lauri Hannu joined the band. First album “Add only water” was recorded in summer of 1997 by Ari Toikka and produced by Junttu, Hannu and Toikka.

Couple of years later the band made a four song demo in just a one day with new album or single in mind and it sounded great but something was missing. It was time to make changes inside the band. Ari Toikka took the drummer seat, Junttu grabbed the bass and Hannu continued wizarding the guitar – exploding trio was born.

New explosive nuclear power station rock’n’roll was recorded and produced by renowned Finnish producer Lex Luthor in Cosmic Studio in Tampere. The album “II” was published in 2013. After the album release Toikka gave room for a new drummer, Tomi Hyttinen.
