After a slew of EPs and compilation track that were released since their 1996 formation, the Boils have been major contributors in bringing the imported UK street punk sound to their native Philadelphia. Influenced by the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:1POsQml4E21Ku75BirHFMQ">Blitz</a>, the Business, the Anti-Heros and <a href="spotify:artist:2bt3I0VkmYuPvP57sxokab">Stiff Little Fingers</a>, The Boils debuted their first self-titled CDEP in 1998 on Creep Records before Cyclone records put out the full-length -also self-titled- a year later.
