Boasting a mix of alt-country roots, Northwest pride, and screaming guitar solos, The Brooders deliver smart songs about life in the Northwest. Led by singer-songwriter Jay Waltmunson, The Brooders are a tight four pieces known for their stage banter and audience interactions. Rounding out the roster is Pete “Nice” Mitchell, the finest sock-footed guitarist this side of the Cascades, Jon "Big-Boy" Berke holding down the low end while adding his sweet, sweet backing vocals, and Matt “Mad Dog” Galloway on the skins.
"Thank goodness! Our very own Northwest Americana with a twang!", exclaimed one crazed, super-fan. All original music with sing-alone melodies, the songwriting fully embraces (and yet lovingly pokes at) life in the Northwest and all that we hold dear.
