The Brotherhood of Sonic Love is about blood ties, friendships and a shared love for garage and noise rock.
The songs are from the down-side of life. They evolve from the sins of the past and the consequences of unleashing an inner drive for destruction. Front man Asger Westh’s lyrics are saturated by personal struggle and a restless energy that are launched upon an ocean of screaming guitars by a band playing with a nervous edge. The universe is bittersweet and the lyrics deal with darkness, longing, insanity, melancholy and a restlessness that does not always pair well with reality.
The critics have compared the music to the likes of The Velvet Underground, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Joy Division or to Eddie Cochran on valium! Or, as Markus’ Heavy Blog (D) wrote: “The Brotherhood of Sonic Love is a band that stretches the borders of rock music while keeping it simple and to the point. These guys are far away from mainstream.”
The debut album Satellite Heart is released 4 October 2019.
