After the release of «Flowers Near The Hedgerow», the band came to a halt following the leave of their lead singer.
Fast forward a year later, and The Chanterelles are back on their feet writing new music. This time, freed from the constraints caused by the pressure of a debut album.
The band is still true to their roots in the western rock genre, with influences from songs like Belladonna and Lily of the Valley still prominent in their new music, soon to be released.
This new era of The Chanterelles did not however, come without changes to the bands lineup.
Originally a band of four, with Eirin Borchgrevink on vocals, Noah Visted on bass, Herman Thorsen on guitars, and Markus Pedersen on drums, the band took a turn after the completion of their third single Dandelion, when the realisation that the band needed two guitarists became apparent. This carved out room for Telma Bergan to join in on bass, with Noah leaving the instrument behind, in favor of the guitar.
Come the summer of 2023, with Jonah Vangen of esteemed 4-piece indie-outfit Kulturmelk taking place as the new drummer.
Now, with the success of sophomore single Betty, The Chanterelles are prepared with new music to be released in the foreseeable future, with the third of which, Backseat Bingo, out now.
EP out before you know it.
