Charlesy is a songwriter and music producer and writes all of the songs for `The Charlesys`.
So far The Charlesys have completed two albums, both of which were recorded in Nashville, USA. `Will It Be You` was released in February 2025 and has just been nominated by radio listeners as one of the top 5 UK Country Albums of 2025. `Nine Country Nuggets` was released in 2023 and was voted by radio listeners as one of the top 5 UK Country Albums of 2024. The Charlesys have enjoyed thousands of radio plays around the world in the last couple of years.
The song `Whenever You`re Around ` was on the album `Will It Be You` and reached the final of the prestigious UK Songwriting competition in 2024.
Before `The Charlesys` he was a founder member of the Accelerators, initially on guitar/vocals and then moving to bass/vocals. The Accelerators enjoyed 21 years of playing gigs across the south-west of England and achieved airplay on BBC Radio Two, ITV soap Emmerdale and on many other radio stations around the world.
Charlesy also played shows in the Dominican Republic with Los Tres Rebeldes. These included 3 memorable gigs in the women`s prison at Najayo to publicise the prison reforms which were put in place to make prisons more humane.
