With a classic and nostalgic pop-rock full live studio sound and lyrics that cut straight to the heart, The Check Marks have arrived!
The Check Marks were created by 46 year old singer/songwriter, Check Scaringi, and are made up by Jan Pohl (drums), Erwin Tuijl (keys), Eelke Mastenbroek (guitars) and Erik Rademakers (bass) - a group of passionate professionals with years of stage experience, having worked with artists such as The Handsome Poets, Tim Akkerman, Judy Blank and Postmen.
They hit the studio together for the first time in 2021 to record the music and lyrics created by Check for their debut album Broken Yoga Dolls (released December ’22). After their single The Hymn Of Ten Lives hit Spotify and Deezer’s NEW MUSIC FRIDAY lists, they immediately followed with the release of Ride Of Your Life in February ’23 which was featured in those same playlists as well as on Rob Stenders’ Stem-Wijzer!
The Check Marks will be releasing new tracks once a month through next year from their next two albums which they recorded in ’22 at Okapi Recordings in Rotterdam (Jan Pohl - Producer). The next single to be released is Steel Rain on 24 March ’23.
