Chimps of The Future are a Discordian band from Lancaster, formed on its famous open mic circuit. Many of these songs started there.
After doing some actual paid gigs and a few festivals - on word of mouth alone - the band poured all the money they made into some studio sessions in the legendary home of rock; Blackpool.
The band all chip in when writing songs, some of our earlier tracks have writers from earlier manifestations in the credits. Elsewhere on the internet you'll find bootlegs of a huge back catalogue of songs, many of which can provoke a sing-along in Lancaster's open mic scene.
The songs are being released in the exact order they will be featured on the finished album. They are following a sequence, "The Heroes Journey", as identified by Joseph Campbell and subsequently copied by pretty much every fantasy writer ever since.
They do tell a story but Chimps of The Future say it's a story about you, the listener. So the specifics are in your court. Either way the album is supposed to act as a "hypersigil" which will align the planets and bring them into universal harmony, allowing meaningful contact with all forms of life, from extraterrestrial beings to common household pets.
