The Choir of Agony is a Gothic Doom Metal band formed in Turkey in 2023.
With bleak and spine-chilling melodies combined with fierce vocals, we open the dark gates of the Doom Metal world to you.
The band’s debut single “Forsaken Lament” features a duet with Gogo Melone of Aeonian Sorrow on clean vocals. Their second single “Ashes On The Ground” includes a collaboration with Nikos Vlanchakis, the brutal vocalist of Ocean of Grief.
Unlike the familiar “Beauty and the Beast” concept often seen in other Doom bands, The Choir of Agony breaks this perception by consisting of two female vocalists.
On clean vocals, with a powerful yet delicate voice that pierces the soul, stands Nil Su Yağmur Gürbüz. On brutal vocals, with her unique voice and outstanding vocal techniques that shake hearts, stands Senem Semiz.
