The Code (Ionut Catana) is originally from Focsani, a small city in Romania. As he grew up his passion for music only grew stronger as music had been passed on by his father. ‘’My home always had the sound of music. For me music is a permanent state of mind. I wake up thinking music and go to sleep thinking about music.’’
After finishing school he took the opportunity to study in Iasi at the College of Arts Octav Bancila. There he continued to study piano and accordion which he loves dearly.
The Code is also one of the producers and members of ‘Cassette’ project, a trio that has been really successful across Europe.
