The Colors

The Colors is the challenge of combining riffs straight out of Britpop and 90's indie rock with psychedelic sounds, all in a pop way. This group of 4 friends places the melody at the center of each of its compositions allowing to convey powerful and bewitching emotions.

It was in 2017, on the banks of the Canal St Martin in Paris, that Aurélien and Félix founded the rock band The Colors, Aurélien on bass and vocals, Félix on guitar. After playing together in various bands, The Black Sheeps and The Tidal Waves, the two childhood friends decided to start their own band. Having been immersed in the psychedelic music of the Velvet Underground, Jefferson Airplane, the Beatles, as well as the guitar sounds of the Dandy Warhols and BJM since high school, they initially played only a few compositions and riffs on acoustic guitars.

It wasn’t until April 2018 that they asked their friend Lorenzo, with whom they used to jam, to join the band as drummer. The band gives its very first concert for the “fête de la musique” in 2019. On this occasion, the trio meets Tom who will very quickly become rhythm guitarist.

Since then, the band played in several Parisian venues such as the Bus Palladium and the Supersonic. The Colors also played many shows all along the French Atlantic coast as part of a tour during the summer of 2021. Shortly after in September, they released their first clip “Temple of Light”, the first single of their upcoming EP which is to be released in the Spring of 2022.
