The D’Arc Brothers, Jake and Mike, are a harmony-driven brother duo with roots in Western Pennsylvania and a home base in South Jersey. Formerly of Peanut Butter Lovesicle, a Brooklyn- and London-based band that toured the U.S., played festivals like Bonaroo, landed two songs on the TV series Gossip Girl, and worked with multi-platinum producer Henry Hirsch. The brothers now craft their own blend of harmony-driven Americana Haze.
The music is rich with soaring harmonies, intricate guitar lines, and soulful grooves, drawing from classic acts like The Flying Burrito Brothers, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and Tom Petty.
In 2023, they released their debut album, praised by ANR Factory as “psychedelically sweet vintage soul” and by Americana-UK for evoking “the introspective side of The Band.”
In April 2024, they followed with Live Acoustic at Transparent Clinch Gallery 03.09.24, recorded in Asbury Park, NJ. The intimate set, steeped in ethereal Americana haze, threads Laurel Canyon nostalgia through a set of originals and a reimagining of Bruce Springsteen ‘s “Dancing in the Dark” as a stripped-down, harmony-laden slow burn with Laura Szlarski adding dobro and banjo textures that deepen the sound while preserving its raw intimacy.
