The Dashboard Danglers

The Dashboard Danglers make real, artisanal music in a style that freely moves between country, pop, and americana. Vocals are very important as each member also sings. Fun is key and The Dashboard Danglers strive to bring a happy mood to its audience through their performance and music.

Singer-bassplayer Jaco van der Steen forms The Dashboard Danglers after 14 very succesful years with The Dutch Eagles. His collaboration with Dutch legendary singer Boudewijn de Groot on ‘Even weg’, a nominated album as ‘Most succesful popalbum of 2019’ gives him the courage to go his own way. With Boudewijn as his songwiting pal.
A 5 piece-band with some iconic Dutch musicians: Leon Klaasse on drums and vocals, Marcel de Groot on guitars and vocals, Martin Bakker on bass and vocals, Rebecca bakker on vocals and Jaco van der Steen on vocals and guitars. They describe their music as ‘country and americana from the Dutch west coast’.

First single in 2020: ‘Simple as that’ (B.de Groot/J van der Steen) got immediate good airplay on national radio. Followed by ‘Corona days’, ‘Ding-dong (xmas bells are danglin’) and on the 1st of januari 2021 ‘Happy new year (with peace and love).
Their first theatre tour was scheduled to start early november 2020 ‘till march 2021 but is postponed due to Covid. New dates wille be announced asap.
