The Dead Licks

The Dead Licks are an alternative rock band made up of four college friends that met at The University of Dayton (Ohio) in 2014. With influences like The Strokes, Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam and Radiohead to name a few, their goal has always been to bring their own band to the big stage. The band released their first full length album, “Stay Away from the Aliens”, their senior year in college, and moved to the city of Chicago shortly after in the fall of 2018. Their second album, “In Disguise”, came after a few years of playing shows around Chicago at notable concert venues such as Lincoln Hall, Schubas, Subterranean and the Cubby Bear. This newest album consists of twelve songs written and recorded during the Covid-19 lockdown, it showed the band’s sonic improvement and ability to overcome adversity brought on by the pandemic. The Dead Licks have always relied on song writing and live shows to keep their momentum going. What will 2023 have in store for The Dead Licks? Bigger shows and better songs, says the band. More of the same. Consistency is the key for these four guys, and they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
