The Devastation is an occult and doom rock/metal band from Vienna, Austria that was formed early 2025 by frontwoman, lead singer and guitarist Demetra Cartsos. Later she was joined by bassist Liara Pühringer, lead guitarist Felix Habermann and drummer Theo Knittel. Their second single “Woman In The Black Veil” is based on one of Cartsos’ most haunting nightmares about a woman in a black veil that had come to take her life in the name of the devil. They have managed to perform live with established bands and participated in festivals.
